About Tarek Abdulaziz

Background

Grounded in the deep traditions of Western classical music, Tarek Abdulaziz is a violinist, music producer, and pedagogue whose work spans high-level performance, artistic direction, and contemporary production. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Master of Science in Musicology, his artistic foundation combines technical precision, stylistic integrity, and historically informed performance across solo, chamber, and orchestral settings.

Raised within an elite musical lineage, Tarek was immersed from an early age in the legendary Russian and Central European pedagogical schools. His father served as a cello section leader in the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, and his mother is an internationally acclaimed, German-trained concert pianist—a background that instilled in him exceptional musicianship, orchestral discipline, and a profound respect for classical heritage.

Over the course of his career, Tarek has held prominent roles across performance and artistic management, including serving as Assistant Art Director for the Saudi National Orchestra in Riyadh and performing extensively with the Cairo Opera Orchestra.

Bridging classical tradition with modern innovation, Tarek’s current practice integrates high-level academic instruction with music production and sound design—approaching composition, arrangement, and performance through a dynamic, multidimensional lens.

Style

Tarek’s artistic and pedagogical philosophy is rooted in the rigorous methodologies of the classical canon, placing equal weight on refined tone production, pristine intonation, physical ergonomics, and stylistic clarity. His teaching emphasizes disciplined practice, deep score analysis, and an interpretative sensitivity informed by historical and aesthetic context.

As an educator, Tarek cultivates both technical mastery and intellectual curiosity, empowering students to develop authentic artistic voices and independent musical judgment. By integrating his background in music production into his teaching, he offers a comprehensive perspective on acoustics, timbre, and structural form—effortlessly bridging traditional performance practice with contemporary technical insight.

Instruments

While the violin serves as Tarek’s primary voice, his artistry extends to the viola, piano, and drums. This multi-instrumental foundation provides a panoramic musical perspective, deepening his command of harmony, rhythm, and orchestration. Experiencing music through both melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic lenses allows him to approach ensemble interaction, arrangement, and cross-genre production with exceptional clarity and versatility.
